How to use the Project timer and Quick menu for macOS?

DeskTime provides two options to help you efficiently organize your projects and tasks using the Project Timer. These options allow you to seamlessly switch between them with just one click.

 

Custom Projects:

Custom Projects allow you to curate a selection of your preferred projects and tasks, which can be manually added to the Quick Menu. This feature empowers you to have immediate access to your most important work. To manage your Custom Projects, follow these steps:

  • Ensure that the Custom Projects option is enabled.
  • While tracking a new project, click on "Add to quick access menu" to save it for easy access in the future.

Note: Any project or task can be added or removed from the quick access menu at any time.

 

Recent Projects:

The Recent Projects option displays a list of the projects and tasks you've tracked recently. This feature provides a convenient way to revisit or switch between recent work. Additionally, you can customize the number of projects shown in the list according to your preference. Options include 3, 5, 8, 12, 15 and 20 of the last tracked items.
