How to integrate DeskTime with Basecamp?

The DeskTime Basecamp integration brings all the necessary things under one roof. Integration with Basecamp will help your company organize projects, ease communication with clients and colleagues and much more. 

How does it work?

Once DeskTime establishes a connection with Basecamp, tasks, and projects are delivered to DeskTime's project section.

Start tracking your project/task with the DeskTime project timer.

No tasks, created in DeskTime, will be synchronized back to Basecamp. The time user spent on certain tasks/projects will be sent back to Basecamp (including manually added time for projects/tasks).

How to integrate DeskTime with Basecamp?

1. Click on Settings and then Integrations:

2. Find the Basecamp integration under Company integrations in the second row and press Activate:

3. Log in to your Basecamp account through Google account or Basecamp username. 

4. Press Yes, I'll allow access to activate a Basecamp integration with DeskTime.



  • Mark your projects/tasks as public in order to receive tracked time from the DeskTime app. 
  • When connecting with Basecamp for the first time, all projects are sent to the DeskTime app right away. 
  • Every new project, after integration has already been established, are synced 2x/hour (at the 30th and 0 minute of the hour).
  • Basecamp sends its projects and tasks to all DeskTime users.
  • DeskTime records the time spent on a task and delivers it back to Basecamp.
  • Tasks created in DeskTime, can't be delivered back to Basecamp.


To disconnect your Basecamp integration, go to Settings and then Integrations. Afterwards, click Delete Integration:
