How can I log offline time?
To make your time tracking even more accurate, you can log the time that you've spent away from the computer on activities DeskTime can not track.
When you return to your computer after being away for a while, you'll see on your Productivity bar that there's a gap of time that hasn't been tracked.
Click on the gap, fill in the description of absence, drag the slider to fill in offline time gaps or enter time manually. You can fill multiple gaps at one time.
Here is a screenshot of your productivity bar with idle time gaps:
A pop-up box will appear, where you will be able to enter what you've been doing. You can either indicate a portion of the time that you have been busy with a project/task by sliding the green bar to the accurate time or type the exact time into the boxes. Afterwards, you can indicate the description of the absence, for example, "meeting with investors."
After you have entered the description, mark whether the offline time was productive, neutral or unproductive. It is also possible to assign offline time to a specific project and define its productivity. Once saved, the offline time will appear in your Productivity bar.
