How to track projects with the Asana + DeskTime integration:
Create a DeskTime account and install the DeskTime app
Under Settings, find and activate the Asana integration
Your projects and tasks from Asana will automatically be imported to DeskTime
Go to the DeskTime app and choose a project or task to track
Start the timer
Track projects with ease (and minimal manual input)
No need to manually copy and paste tasks from Asana to your time tracking app. Once connected to DeskTime, tasks from Asana will automatically appear on the time tracking app. Just pick the task and start tracking.
Calculate project costs
Add your team's hourly rates and DeskTime will automatically calculate how much each project costs for the company, based on the total time dedicated to them. Charge your clients accordingly or see which projects are worthwhile and which are a waste of time.
Stay on top of things
Know if and when your team has started work on a specific task - just open the task in Asana and you'll see who has worked on it and for how long. Balance relying on the team with being in full control of your projects.
