DeskTime has been around for over 9 years, with a constantly growing list of features and functionality. When it first started out, there was only one plan. Over time, user requirements changed and functionality developed, it’s become clear that different companies have different needs. Now, the new DeskTime pricing plans reflect those various needs at a price point suited for everyone.
Until now, we’ve had DeskTime Lite – a limited DeskTime version, and DeskTime Pro. Now, we’re thrilled to be adding two new plans:
Introducing: Premium and Enterprise plans!
The new plans reflect different requirements for different companies, with many newly-added features to each, with even more on their way over the course of 2020.
Here’s a breakdown of each plan:
Note: To make changes to your plan, go to the Billing section of your DeskTime account, and click Upgrade.
Lite – dipping your toes
Lite is a bare-bones version of DeskTime, providing one individual with the basics of time tracking. This is mostly used by students or time tracking beginners. The most important aspect of the Lite plan is that it can only have one user. That means that this plan is not for teams but for personal time tracking.
An important difference is that the Lite plan has limited functionality – it only tracks time spent on programs and applications. While other DeskTime plans include the ability to track time on different websites and different URLs, the Lite plan can only track the time spent on different apps.

Pro – bringing transparency to the workplace
The Pro plan brings transparency to the workplace by making time tracking data available to the team and its managers. It also provides a variety of tools to increase work time transparency and increase productivity.
Personal productivity is enhanced through features such as the Pomodoro timer, private time settings, project time tracking, automatic time tracking, a team contacts directory, and more. However, managers will enjoy custom reports, integrations with existing tools used in the organization, cost calculation, and more.
The Pro plan is ideal for those teams that are looking to step up their productivity game and diving into data-back decisions regarding how time is spent.
Who’s it for? Teams starting out with time tracking, freelancers, teams looking to gain transparency of the workday, employers who require workday start and end times.

Premium – employee management at the forefront
The Premium plan includes features that place a focus on workforce management. All of the features from the Pro plan are included in the premium plan, and is supplemented by additional features that make workforce and employee management a breeze.
Team management is made easier with features such as shift scheduling, absence calendar management, and offline time approval. This brings HR topics into DeskTime, thereby consolidating multiple company functionalities into one place.
The added invoicing feature lets companies issue invoices to clients that pay by the hour, based on actual work done by employees. Since time is automatically tracked, this means no time will be lost, and you’ll never lowball yourself again. This has the potential to save massive amounts of money for companies and freelancers alike.
Custom notifications is a newly-added feature. It provides managers and owners with email or web notification about any red flags within their business (such as consistently late arrival for shifts and absences), as well as custom reports featuring statistics important to them.
All in all, the Premium plan is suited to those businesses that take billing and HR seriously.
